MADE IN SINGAPORE SERIES

What are coffee crystals?

Specialty coffee, brewed and then freeze-dried into crystals. Tip a sachet into water or milk, give it a stir, and it dissolves in seconds. No machine needed.

In the box: 6 sachets of crystals, one double espresso each.

Kenya Kiamwangi NH

Kiamwangi Factory sits in Nyeri County's Mathira East, a few kilometres from Karatina on the southern slopes of Mt Kenya. Around 550 farmers of the Iria-Ini Farmers Co-operative deliver ripe cherry from small family plots, grown in deep red volcanic soil at 1,750–1,900 m. The cool, high-altitude climate matures the cherries slowly, building the dense, flavour-packed beans Nyeri is known for.

NH — "natural heavy" — is Kenya's newer natural grade: the densest, best cherries, separated by floating and sorting, then dried whole on raised beds. Thin bed depths, frequent turning and close control of airflow and shade keep the drying slow, matching the cool mountain climate. The result is a dessert-like natural — creamy and berry-forward — that keeps the clarity Nyeri's washed lots are famous for. We freeze-dry the brew into crystals, so the cup lands in seconds, cold or hot.
